MEET THE TEAM
Debbi has been an avid equestrian since she was 4 years old, growing up in Pasadena, California with horses in the backyard. She worded under Rudi Leone, Dusty Backwood and Patty Ball before moving to Idaho in ’92. Family is her biggest priority, and in addition to her duties at Long Farms, she helps run Cascade Raft and Kayak, the family business. Most recently, she has taken on a Chef d’Equip role, earning the team silver medal twice at Pony Jumper finals, team gold at the USHJA Jumper team Championships, and took multiple teams to NAYC. She is now serving as the head Chef d’Equip for Zone 9 and is also a member of the USHJA Zone 9 committee.
Rachel has been riding for as long as she can remember, spending as much time as she could at the barn. Her showing career started with ponies and quickly moved up the levels. She earned two team silver medals at pony jumper finals, as well as finishing 4th individually. She then moved on to the FEI Children’s division before graduating to the junior jumpers and NAYC. She has always enjoyed working with young horses and was able to bring multiple horses from the young horse classes to the Grand Prix level. After spending some time in Germany working for Helena Stormanns, she is excited to get back to riding, working with students and developing young horses!
Kayla has riding and spending time in the barn for as long as she can remember. She enjoyed many years of success in the pony jumper division with her trusty pony, Khall Me Luna. She then moved up to the junior jumpers, bringing home multiple wins from Tryon, Tbird, Thermal and more. She is currently attending Colorado School of Mines, earning a degree in Engineering Design, and spending summers riding!
Tom has been a top notch horse show husband and horse show grandfather for years. He will tel you he's "just the truck driver" but he loves to help in the schooling ring, walk courses, hand walk, and help around the barn. At home, he can usually be found on the tractor or lawn mower keeping watch over his realm.
Kenneth spent some time around the barn when he was young, but soon gained more interest in whitewater kayaking. He had a very successful career in the double canoe division of whitewater slalom with his brother, Chad. In the summers he is the Rafting Manager at Cascade Raft and Kayak, but in the off season he loves to ride and show.
